Marilyn Sulivant

Marilyn Mabrey Sulivant, Zone 3 representative was elected to the GCTC school board at its inception in 1991. Marilyn received her BS, Education from the University of Oklahoma in 1971, and her Master’s degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1979. Marilyn taught school for nine years and then began her banking career at Utica National Bank, Tulsa for four years and for the past 35 years has worked for Mabrey Bank, Okmulgee.

 

Marilyn is semi-retired and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Mabrey Bank. She was a member of Class II of Leadership Oklahoma. Marilyn is married to Dan Sulivant, retired counselor and coach at Okmulgee High School. They have two children and four grandchildren. She has served in many leadership positions in Okmulgee with the Okmulgee Chamber of Commerce, Main Street, Okmulgee Service League, and the Okmulgee Education Foundation. Marilyn currently serves as an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Okmulgee. In 2018 Marilyn was selected as the Oklahoma State School Board Association’s Distinguished Service Award winner.
