Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
A. Responding to work orders and phone requests related to computers and networks.
B. Installing, maintaining, and upgrading the student information system program, PowerSchool, and the learning management system, Canvas.
C. Monitor system and network performance and organize maintenance activities (e.g. backups).
D. Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules.
E. Extract data using SQL queries to research, analyze, and submit reports from the student information system.
F. Conduct data imports and exports in student information system and other platforms.
G. Implement data management processes across the district to ensure accuracy for auditing purposes.
H. Pulling cable, installing wireless APs, setting up peripherals, and troubleshooting LAN and WAN issues on campus.
I. Assist in training personnel in the operation of computers, technology equipment, and software.
J. Maintaining records, including all technology inventories, and verifying specifications for purchases.
K. Maintaining district e-mail.
L. Manage the filing of the E-Rate process, including preparing documents, identifying proper equipment, managing software, RFPs, certification
M. Developing and implementing the district technology plan.
N. Assuring that all district policies, state, and federal regulations are followed by the district.
O. Provide IT support for outside groups and organizations utilizing meeting rooms.
P. It is expected for the employee to be on time each workday as this is essential to the employee’s job.
Q. Other jobs/tasks as described and requested by supervisor.
Benefits
Employment contract is July 1 - June 30 annually (12 Months each year)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Off for major holidays

Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of experience in network and computer technology including WAN and LAN cabling (copper and fiber).

A minimum of 3 years of experience in installing and configuring Windows Server and Windows 10. Experience in managing Active Directory, Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, Learning Management System (LMS) and Student Information System (SIS), Anti-Virus, and Light Speed Internet filter. Knowledge of installing and configuring various software programs for stand-alone and network. Knowledge of Firewalls, Wireless controllers, access points, switches, and routers.

Experience with the E-Rate program including preparing Requests for Proposals, collecting low-income student documentation, certifying proposals, reviewing and executing contracts, and maintaining equipment and services inventories is preferred.

Experience in developing and implementing technology needs assessments and technology plans.
Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing PC's, LAN, and WAN. Installing and configuring network and stand-alone printers.

Excellent human relations and communications skills including telephone skills. Ability to perform responsibilities on own initiative with minimal supervision including planning, executing, and completing assignments on time while managing multiple priorities. Ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment, and discretion in performing duties.
