Green Country Technology Center (GCTC) is taking hands-on learning to the next level with the addition of SimCapture, an advanced simulation system that is transforming the way Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) students gain real-world experience.
Under the leadership of Mrs. Ana Richardson and Mrs. Jami Lympany, GCTC’s LPN students are now utilizing this state-of-the-art equipment to sharpen their critical thinking, decision-making, and patient care skills in a controlled, high-fidelity environment.
Future cohorts of LPN students will have access to SimCapture, ensuring a comprehensive and immersive learning experience. With SimCapture, instructors can program lifelike scenarios on the fly, allowing students to respond in real time—just as they would in a clinical setting. “This is a game-changer for our LPN program,” said Anthony Nieto, Marketing & Communications Coordinator at GCTC. “SimCapture allows our students to experience real-world medical situations in a safe and controlled environment. This hands-on approach ensures that when they step into a healthcare facility, they’re not just prepared—they’re confident.”
SimCapture is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and clinical practice. By simulating real-life medical scenarios, students can practice vital procedures, improve their bedside manner, and develop critical problem-solving skills before ever working with actual patients. The technology also allows instructors to provide immediate feedback and performance assessments, reinforcing best practices and enhancing learning outcomes. “Our goal is to graduate career-ready LPNs who can seamlessly transition into the workforce,” said Mrs. Richardson. “With SimCapture, we can expose students to a variety of medical situations, from routine check-ups to emergency interventions. This level of immersive learning builds confidence and competence in ways that traditional methods simply can’t.”
GCTC is committed to providing the highest quality education, equipping students with the tools and experience necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving healthcare field. The integration of SimCapture into the LPN curriculum is a testament to the school’s dedication to innovation and excellence in healthcare education. “This investment in advanced technology reflects our commitment to student success,” added Nieto. “We’re ensuring our graduates leave GCTC not only with knowledge but with the hands-on experience that sets them apart in the job market.”
The addition of SimCapture underscores GCTC’s ongoing efforts to enhance career training programs and prepare students for the challenges of the modern healthcare industry. With this cutting-edge tool, the next generation of LPNs will enter the workforce ready to make a difference from day one.
GCTC is now accepting applications for enrollment in the July LPN cohort. Interested individuals can visit gctcok.edu or call 918.758.0840 for more information.
